White House Farm was originally built before the 17th century and was rebuilt around 1830.Though no longer a working farm we do have animal-life in four sheep and two goats. White House Farm is situated off a quiet lane at the end of which is a Suffolk Wildlife Reserve Field Centre and converted barns. The nearby railway line is in a cutting and isn't noisy.
ACCOMMODATION
The flat is provided with an LCD flat screen Freeview television and dvd/vcr, a cd/ radio/ cassette and also a clock radio in the bedroom. The fitted kitchen includes single oven, hob and extractor fan,microwave oven and fridge with freezer box. A washing machine is available for an additional £10 per week on the tarriffs below. There are French windows to a patio area with picnic table .The furnishings and furniture were all bought new and are replaced regularly and there are plenty of homely touches.
To keep things upto date we recently bought a new sofa, bed mattress and cooker.
All linen is provided apart from towels and tea towels. Electricity is inclusive in the prices below. The flat is centrally-heated and portable convector heaters are also provided if needed. Though the flat is attached to the main house full privacy and peace and quiet is assured.There is ample parking. The flat is equipped for a maximum of 2 people and smoking is not allowed inside.
LOCAL AMENITIES
Within a mile there is a supermarket, baker, newsagent, pharmacy and doctors' surgery and petrol station with a handy Tesco shop. The centre of Oulton Broad is a mile and a half away with pubs, takeaways and restaurants among its attractions.
In Lowestoft, within three miles there are cinemas, a theatre, a Theme park as well as its famous beach. New is the biggest wind turbine in the country. Further South is the zoo in Kessingland, the heritage coast Southwold, Dunwich, Minsmere. And inland are nice market towns such as Beccles and Bungay, the Norfolk Broads as well as the city of Norwich.
